As Director of Nutrition Services for eDiets.com, Pamela Ofstein is responsible for the development, design and implementation of the company's nutritional components, including product offerings, nutritional programs and food delivery program. Pamela is a registered and licensed dietitian who shares her expertise to help promote healthy lifestyles. Leading the department of nutrition professionals, she continues to widen and enhance eDiets.com personalized services, setting the standards to provide credible information to consumers.
Following receipt of her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Florida State University, Pamela earned her Master of Science degree in dietetics and nutrition from Florida International University. Pamela has vast clinical experience and has mastered meeting the varied nutritional needs of clients and members. She has a special interest in providing proper nutrition for patients with chronic diseases and has spent many years providing nutrition education to individuals experiencing renal disease.
Pamela is a member of the Florida Dietetic Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Florida Council on Renal Nutrition and has served on the board of the Broward County Dietetic Association. In addition to being named "The Young Recognized Dietitian for the Broward County Dietetic Association" and the recipient of the "National Kidney Foundation 2006 Dietitian Exemplary Practice Award," she has continued to serve as an officer for the Florida Council on Renal Nutrition (FCRN) for over five years.
Pamela continues to lend her expertise and is a spokeswoman in health-related information to different media venues. She has been quoted in Cooking Light, Boston Herald, Washington Post, Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel and other publications across the nation. She contributes monthly nutrition articles to local Palm Beach County and Broward County citywide magazines. In addition, she is a guest to numerous radio shows and has been featured on television including company commercials and recipe spots working with professional chefs from culinary institutes such as Johnson & Wales University. Pamela has created web-based recipe videos for eDiets.com and provided nutrition information for companies such as NewBaby.com.
