While eDiets would never endorse shame as a motivator, we can’t argue with the hot results it led to for “the most beautiful woman in the world,” Gwyneth Paltrow.
The hot-bodied mom of two recently revealed that a surprise “depantsing” followed by a sarcastic comment from her trainer inspired her to get serious about shaping up for her role as sexy secretary Pepper Potts in the Iron Man movies.
Paltrow, 40, was fresh off giving birth to her second child, Moses, when she turned to trainer Tracy Anderson for help.
"With my daughter it had been easier (to hit the gym), but this time, no matter what I did, I felt stuck,” Paltrow told Redbook.
“I couldn't shift the weight. But I met Tracy and she was this force from the second I met her. She pulled my pants off. I'll never forget it. She was like, 'Oh, my God, wow, I just am so surprised, because you look so good in clothes. I wasn't expecting this.'"
Hardly the welcome an A-list celebrity is used to. But once she regained her composure – and her pants – Paltrow knew what must be done.
"She hid her problem areas so well before me that I'm like, ‘I really wish your naked butt was everywhere before me and after me,’” Anderson has been quoted as saying.
Cardio and strength training were only part of the transformation. Paltrow completely revamped her diet at the same time. Depending on the day of the week, Paltrow is either following a vegetarian eating plan or she’s on a cleanse.
Nevertheless, Paltrow does credit her exhausting 5-day-a-week Tracy Anderson Method workout routine for keeping her looking and feeling good.
You could say that Paltrow, who has since been crowned The World’s Most Beautiful Woman by PEOPLE magazine, is living proof that sometimes the “end” justifies the means. No butts about it!
