Former Jersey Shore starlet Snooki is a sexy shell of her former self after dropping 50 pounds and giving up the booze. But despite her early attempts at dancing around her shocking slim-down secrets, the tabloid tart is owning up to the fact she supplemented her exercise and diet routines with weight loss pills.
Nicole Elizabeth Polizzi, a.k.a. Snooki, scoffed at those who dared claim she parted with the post-baby pounds by using supplements or diet pills. But it now appears the truth is in the sugar-free pudding.
The reality TV star, whose about to turn all of 26, has reportedly admitted to having a little help from an over-the-counter product.
“Despite reports her weight is down to healthy eating and exercise, Snooki took to her Twitter page this morning to credit diet pills Zantrex and the hormone HCG for her new body,” reported celebitchy.com.
“The 4ft 9in reality TV star has been relying on Zantrex fat burning tablets, apparently also favored by Britney Spears, and drops of the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HGC) hormone for helping maintain her figure.”
Before you rush out for the pills that Snooki is reportedly endorsing, know this: side effects of Zantrex can include palpitations, anxiety, cold sweats, nausea, diarrhea, increased heart rate and irritability.

Let’s samba back to Snooki.
Although she made a (bad) name for herself by imbibing far too much on the raucous Jersey Shore, Snooki has apparently seen the error of her ways – “too many empty calories” – and has supposedly retired her drinking glass and adopted a classier persona as a caring mom and dancing dynamo.
She has also cut way back on her food intake – to the point where she’s even parted ways with her beloved fried pickles!
The incredible shrinking Snooki has been a paparazzi’s dream since the birth of her little boy, Lorenzo. But not everyone has been a fan of her rapid weight loss.
Star magazine was one of the first news outlets to accuse Snooki, who once suffered from the eating disorders anorexia and bulimia, of resorting to drugs to boost her weight loss.
ABC News has since revealed that the pint-sized pixie has come out of her denial closet and admitted to popping Zantrex-3 “energy pills” to trim down.
The ABCNews.com website noted: “Zantrex-3 is an amphetamine-free diet drug that consists of a number of herbs such as yerba mate, green tea, guarana, and just plain old caffeine…. diet experts are non-too-pleased over this recent form of celebrity diet pill promotion -- especially since Snooki is advocating using this caffeine-containing pill right before rigorous exercise.”
Snooki, who now claims to have shrunk from a high of 146 pounds to her current weight of 96 pounds, is insisting she feels great.
“People are jerks,” she told InTouch. “I don’t look emaciated; I look healthy! My arms still jiggle when I wave! I’m 4-foot-9, which is the size of a third-grader, so weighing 96 pounds is normal for me.”
She’s now flaunting her newfound energy and tight body on Dancing With The Stars – and loving every minute of it.
"Dancing is an amazing workout," she said. "It's helping me keep my legs and everything else toned. I'm a size 0 and d*** proud of it!"
Despite her super-busy schedule, Snooki still finds time for her the true love of her life – the gym.
"I used to hate going to the gym, but now I love it,” she said. “I lift very heavy weights, and I'm strong."
